Linen

Linen is made from the fibres of the flax plant. Linen fabric is two to three times stronger than cotton, is very absorbent and garments made of linen are valued for their exceptional coolness and freshness in hot weather, and ability to trap warmth in colder weather. This is all achieved through the natural properties of the fibre itself.

Linen is also naturally anti-bacterial, which had made it a popular choice for bandages for centuries and a favourite for window treatments and accessories such as accent pillows.

Linen is thought of as nature’s wicking fibre. It can gain up to 20% moisture before it will first begin to feel damp.

Many products are made of linen: aprons, bags, napkins, bed linens, tablecloths, runners, chair covers, and men's and women's wear.
